Marshall Arts is designed to help promote and encourage Michigan arts organizations and artists in and around Calhoun County and is an affiliate of MiStages. Rob Hopper just moved to Marshall in the fall of 2022. He is the founder and executive director of National Youth Arts which has presented well over a hundred awards ceremonies in several states since 2006. Past youth award winners include Tony nominees Ashley Park (Mean Girls), Micaela Diamond (Parade), Julia Lester (High School Musical The Series/Into the Woods), and Emily Skeggs (Fun Home), as well as Casey Likes (Broadway leads in Back to the Future & Almost Famous), Asher Angel from Shazam!, Kennedy McMann (Nancy Drew), singer/songwriter Gracie Abrams, and Ariana Grande. Before that he started San Diego Playbill where he reviewed over 150 shows a year and hosted the "Billie Awards" for adults and youth in San Diego County.
